Out & About

Whether you’re a golfer, a shopper or you’re just after an entertaining day out. Tea Gardens has so much on offer. You can grab a bargain at the markets, take the grand kids out for the day or sign up for a round of golf. Your choices are endless.

Tea Gardens has markets on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Myall Quays Shopping Village. Farmers Markets are also held at Tea Gardens Public School each month on dates advertised. Both provide excellent opportunities to stock up on fresh fruit and veg, plants, arts and crafts and other interesting offerings. Grab yourself a bargain or take the grandkids down for lunch and enjoy the vibe of browsing stalls in a relaxed coastal town.

The Myall River Festival is an annual celebration of all that makes the Myall Coast area unique. Jam packed with things to do, the locals are out in full force to show off vintage cars, dancing demonstrations, and a boat parade on the river. The wonderful riverfront setting is alive with market stalls and live music all day, finishing off with a fireworks display (weather permitting). Plenty of fun for the grandchildren including jumping castles, rides and facepainting.

If you’re into golf then you need to visit the Hawks Nest Golf Club. This beautiful 18 hole championship course is located alongside Bennett’s Beach where you can hear the waves crash as you play. Golfing is a very popular local pastime, giving you have plenty of opportunities to meet with likeminded players. The Club hosts and participates in an impressive range of regular tournaments as well as excursions to other venues. So dust off those golf clubs and get ready to swing!
